Since I’ve started gaining interest in the SEGA platform, I have begun checking out a few demos for this console. I found one I just had to share with you. It is called Bad Apple and it was created by FLM in November 2012.
It’s quite an entertaining production and its style reminds me a bit of State of the Art by Spaceballs on the Amiga.
I wouldn’t mind running it on a SEGA Mega Drive some time in the future, that is for sure. It’s really cool that people create stuff like this. Anyway, I have embedded the video below – hope you’ll enjoy the show!
Hope to hear what you think about this prod. Feel free to leave a comment below. Would love to hear what your thoughts about this SEGA demo.
Today it’s time for another Amiga demo I recently discovered. It is called 40 & a Blunt and was made by Y-Crew. It was released at the Maximum Overdose 10 demo party in 2012 (28-12-12 to 30-12-12 in Lübeck, Germany) and ranked as number three in the competition. It is not actually a demo though, since it falls into the 40KB intro category. An Amiga 500 with 1MB of RAM will run it fine.
The music in the intro was made by my old friend Rebb of Paradise & TRSI and he sent a greeting to me in the production. If you by any chance read this Rebb, I must say thank you for the greet. Will contact you again soon.
40 & a Blunt is an old-school type intro, featuring several golden oldie effects. It took me back in time and I enjoyed the ride. The music is a cosy chiptune and it fits well with the overall theme of the intro. I enjoyed watching the plasma and copper effect and reading the text at the end of the production (many messages from the creators to other people etc). If you want to watch it yourself, I’ve embedded a video from YouTube below. If you’ve got an Amiga, you can download the intro via the download-link at the end of this post. Hope you’ll enjoy watching it!
Hope you all are enjoying the time of Christmas and that your preparations for Christmas Eve is going as planned.
Today I want to share another demo with you. Remember the one I wrote about a while ago that is called Future 1999 from Pers’ Wastaiset Produktiot (PwP)? If you enjoyed that one, you’re probably going to like this one too. It’s just as surreal and spooky..
Chances are that you’ll get a new perspective on Chess after watching the demo..
I’ve embedded a video from YouTube below, so that you can check it out for yourself. Enjoy the show! Hope to hear what you all think about this particular demo.
This weekend a demo party was held in Holland. The event was called X 2012 and the focus was on the Commodore 64. I was just starting to go through the entries in the demo competition, but had to stop to write this post after seeing Artphosis by Hitmen.. what a beautiful demo! It’s one of the best I’ve seen in a long, long time.. It runs for over 10 minutes, so it’s quite long, but everything that happens on the screen in so captivating, that you’ll keep watching until the end.
Without further ado, here’s the smoking hot new demo from Hitmen!
