Hi guys,

Today it is the 20th anniversary of APC&TCP! These are the guys that brings us the printed magazine Amiga Future several times a year. They’ve also distributed software like the famous Cygnus Editor (CED), Digibooster (music tracker) and Flyin’ High (3D racing game).

Let us all wish them a happy anniversary! :)

In correlation with this, Andreas Magerl (main editor of Amiga Future) has posted a short history of the group on Amigaworld.net. He also announced that they’ve got some saucy offers in their webshop right now.

Here’s the post from Amigaworld.net:

APC&TCP: 20th Anniversary

Once there were two computer clubs. The APC and the TCP.

Once 20 years back (if anyone knows the exact date, please report), these two computer clubs joined together.

Within a very short period of APC & TCP computer club, with nearly 500 members, it grow up to one of the biggest Amiga clubs in Germany.

APC&TCP then brought out one of the most common Amiga floppy magazines. The Amiga Fire and the follower Nocover.

Since many programmers were a member, it was easy to distribute own software.

To this end, in May 1992, the APC&TCP-distribution founded a Gbr.

The goal was to distribute public domain, shareware and commercial software in a kind and way so the programmers had something of this.

Thus, PD-disks have passed for a cost price of 1,- DM. The profit-sharing of 50% for the programmer were unusually high.

Programs like CygnusEd, DigiBoosterPro, Databench and games like Flyin High and Pinball BRain Damage are only a few examples of our software.

Besides a own shareware series and many commercial software, we were also working for various companies.
We took care of the distribution of promoting games, create CoverCDs for magazines such as the Amiga Plus, Amiga Games, Amiga Special.
For a short time we created the PD-series disks from Amiga Magazine, wrote reviews for various magazines, organized ticket sales for Amiga shows and much more.

In 1997, we have decided to publish a print magazine for the Amiga. The Amiga Future was first published by the ICP-Verlag, then by FALKE-Verlag and since issue 27 the APC&TCP-distribution also worked as a publisher.

Now we released the issue 96 and the issue 100 is so close…

Meanwhile APC&TCP also sells various Amiga merchandising products such as stickers, mouse pads, posters and much more.

Now, after 20 years in the APC&TCP sales still exists.

To celebrate this we have some special offers in our online shop. These offers are only available in May 2012.

To the next 20 years! :)

I know I’ve said it before, but I think it’s great that there’s still a printed Amiga magazine being released regularly. If you want them to continue publishing it, please show your support by ordering an issue or two. It’s well worth it if you love reading about Amiga stuff.

Hi everyone,

Issue 95 of Amiga Future was released today. Once again they’ve decided to print it in full colours. I really enjoyed reading the last issue and will definitely purchase this one as well. It’s great news that they’re continuing making the magazine in colours, as it looks much better than the older black and white editions.

This time you’ll find articles about the AmigaOne X1000 “First Contact” systems, the update to AmiKit, an interview with Stephen Fellner (this is the guy behind DVPlayer on AmigaOS 4.x), a review of Mr. Beanbag and much, much more. The readers-letters section featuring the poor (and always hungry) guy in the basement is as usual present at the back of the magazine.

The main editor, Andreas Magerl, has now confirmed that all future issues of Amiga Future will be in full colours. Great stuff! :)

If you’re interested in purchasing the latest issue of Amiga Future, you can get it from one of the dealers below:
