Since I’ve started gaining interest in the SEGA platform, I have begun checking out a few demos for this console. I found one I just had to share with you. It is called Bad Apple and it was created by FLM in November 2012.
It’s quite an entertaining production and its style reminds me a bit of State of the Art by Spaceballs on the Amiga.
I wouldn’t mind running it on a SEGA Mega Drive some time in the future, that is for sure. It’s really cool that people create stuff like this. Anyway, I have embedded the video below – hope you’ll enjoy the show!
Hope to hear what you think about this prod. Feel free to leave a comment below. Would love to hear what your thoughts about this SEGA demo.
It has been far too long since I posted on this blog. My last post was back in January 2013, which is several months ago. How time flies!
I’m going to start posting more often again. Spring is coming and with the sun and the warm weather comes extra energy for writing.
In the future I will write a bit more about SEGA related hardware and software, since I’ve started investigating this platform. I’ve never been a SEGA gamer, but it is never too late to start. Being a big fan of old-school shoot’em up’s, I’m going to try to track down some games belonging to that genre. If you have some SEGA shooters (or other types of games) to recommend, please comment below. Thanks in advance. By the way.. I got the Mega Drive console, which I think looks very nice.
This does not mean I won’t write about the Amiga of course, since that will always be my favorite platform.
Anyway, hope you all are doing well and that the retro gaming spirit is still burning out there.
Game on!
Before I forget.. have you seen the winner of the old school demo competition at the Revision 2013 party that was held during Easter? If not, please have a look at this splendid Amiga production below.. Lemon is back in action again!
PS: A special greeting must go out to Mads for waking me up from my slumber… hehe… thanks! Also greetings to all readers of my blog!
Loriano Pagni, also known as TheDaddy, has put a lot of effort into this project. It’s good to see that he has now reached his goal and that the case will go into production. If you read this, then I must congratulate you on your terrific work!

PS: This project has sucked a lot of energy, free time and money, my entire classic, NG Amiga and Commodore collection, plus my car (twice!) and a few other items which ended up on ebay during seven years. You probably already know but I’ll be making these at a loss for a while but I love it and I hope you’re going to love it too. Add sad music here.
Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting this project, you know who you are.
For your mini-itx or flex-atx x86, SAM, FPGAArcade Replay, Efika boards, etc.
TheDaddy has made some videos about the X500 Plus. I’ve embedded one for you below, so that you can get an impression of the product. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
I’m thinking that this case would be perfect for my AROS setup. I currently got a mini-ITX box for it, but it would be awesome to move all the hardware into the X500 Plus instead.
Today it’s time for another Amiga demo I recently discovered. It is called 40 & a Blunt and was made by Y-Crew. It was released at the Maximum Overdose 10 demo party in 2012 (28-12-12 to 30-12-12 in Lübeck, Germany) and ranked as number three in the competition. It is not actually a demo though, since it falls into the 40KB intro category. An Amiga 500 with 1MB of RAM will run it fine.
The music in the intro was made by my old friend Rebb of Paradise & TRSI and he sent a greeting to me in the production. If you by any chance read this Rebb, I must say thank you for the greet. Will contact you again soon.
40 & a Blunt is an old-school type intro, featuring several golden oldie effects. It took me back in time and I enjoyed the ride. The music is a cosy chiptune and it fits well with the overall theme of the intro. I enjoyed watching the plasma and copper effect and reading the text at the end of the production (many messages from the creators to other people etc). If you want to watch it yourself, I’ve embedded a video from YouTube below. If you’ve got an Amiga, you can download the intro via the download-link at the end of this post. Hope you’ll enjoy watching it!
