Demo: Large Unified Theory by PwP (Commodore VIC 20) (2010)

Hi guys,

Hope you all are enjoying the time of Christmas and that your preparations for Christmas Eve is going as planned. :)

Today I want to share another demo with you. Remember the one I wrote about a while ago that is called Future 1999 from Pers’ Wastaiset Produktiot (PwP)? If you enjoyed that one, you’re probably going to like this one too. :) It’s just as surreal and spooky..

The name of the demo is Large Unified Theory and it was first released at the Alternative Party 2010. It won the main demo competition at that party.

Chances are that you’ll get a new perspective on Chess after watching the demo..

I’ve embedded a video from YouTube below, so that you can check it out for yourself. :) Enjoy the show! Hope to hear what you all think about this particular demo.

Demo: Artphosis by Hitmen (Commodore 64) (2012)

Hi everyone,

This weekend a demo party was held in Holland. The event was called X 2012 and the focus was on the Commodore 64. I was just starting to go through the entries in the demo competition, but had to stop to write this post after seeing Artphosis by Hitmen.. what a beautiful demo! It’s one of the best I’ve seen in a long, long time.. It runs for over 10 minutes, so it’s quite long, but everything that happens on the screen in so captivating, that you’ll keep watching until the end. ;)

Without further ado, here’s the smoking hot new demo from Hitmen!

Did you like it? :D

Hi there,

Today I’ve got some updates concerning the Viva Amiga documentary project by Zach Weddington. If you are not familiar with this upcoming film, please have a look at one of my earlier posts about it. :)

Without further ado, here’s the news from the author’s blog:

Here’s what’s been happening!

I’ve been able to get a good amount of editing done on the story cut, but I found that working a very demanding job was sucking away all my free time. And also, all my down time was wasted at work too: I could have been doing more editing during the day, but understandably, my boss wasn’t keen on me editing my film at work.

So I did something I have been dreaming of doing forever.

I broke free and am doing my own production company full-time.

Please check it out and tell your friends. We are open for business.

I got a great client already and am already making great videos for them…all out of my home office. And I’ve got WAY more time for the film! This is the spirit of the Amiga as I always saw it. Just doing it yourself, right?

I am reenergized and excited about the film like never before! My creativity is at a peak now!

So we will be on track. I promised story edit this fall. It’ll be there in about 6 weeks. And yeah, finished film late next year.

Stay tuned everyone. Thanks again for the support.

Zach

Really looking forward to watch the documentary when its ready! :)

Have a nice day and thanks for reading!

Commodore: The Amiga Years

Hi folks,

If you’ve read the book A Company on the Edge by Brian Bagnall, which is about Commodore, you’ll probably be interested to hear that a new book by the same author will be out this month. It’s called Commodore: The Amiga Years and it will continue the story that was presented in the previous one.

Can’t go wrong with a book about the Amiga. :)

If you’d like to check out his previous book, you can find information about it here.

Any of you going to purchase this book?

Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
