Another eBay Purchase: Gradius V for the Playstation 2

Hi everyone,

As if I didn’t have enough games to play and get addicted to, Gradius V arrived in the mail a few days ago. I admit to paying quite a bit to get hold of this fantastic game, but I think it was totally worth it. Already had a few tries to freshen up my memory and it was just as fun as it was in the past.

Stay tuned for some in-game pictures of Gradius V in action in my living room. ;)

For those of you who does not know Gradius V, please have a look at the video below. I found it on YouTube.

So, what games are you currently playing?

Would be great if you could post a comment and tell me what is going on in your gaming-life these days. Thanks in advance. :)

Another eBay Purchase: R-Type Final for the PlayStation 2

Hi everyone,

I’m a happy camper today! Why? Well, R-Type Final for the PlayStation 2 arrived in the mail today. Can’t wait to start playing it, so I guess this will be one of my shorter posts. ;)

I also won an auction for Gradius V (PlayStation 2 game), which is another great shoot’em up. Eagerly waiting for it to arrive.

Anyway, here’s a few pics of my new game:

Hi everyone,

I just had to re-blog this amazing post from Gaming History 101. It contains a podcast episode about Salamander/Life Force, one of my all-time favorite games.

Please spend some time listening to the podcast, as it contains a lot of interesting information on the game. :) Highly recommended!

I used to play the MSX-version quite a lot in the past and I still have my old cartridge in my collection. It is like a Holy Grail for me. ;)

Hope you'll enjoy it and that you'll pay Gaming History 101 a visit and support them with a comment.

Have a good evening and thanks for reading!

Rise of the Robots on the SEGA Genesis: Video Review by Stan Burdman

Hi guys,

Back in April last year I wrote a review of the Amiga CD32 version of Rise of the Robots. While browsing YouTube, I found a video review of the SEGA Genesis (MegaDrive) edition of the game by Stan Burdman. :) I’ve only played ROTR on the Amiga, so it was interesting to see how it looked on the SEGA. Apparently the game wasn’t very playable on that platform either.. ;)

I’ve embedded it below, so that you can check it out yourself. Hope you’ll enjoy it!

What is your opinion about the Rise of the Robots? Hope to hear from you. :)
