The AmiWest exhibition certainly gets a lot of attention this weekend, but that’s not strange when thinking of all the news coming from this event. We’ve now got a confirmation from A-EON and the rest that the AmigaOne X1000 will be released this year and that a new website has been launched for AmigaOS. Great stuff. πŸ™‚

You can read more about the new Amiga computer and its pricing at Coder’s Blog or check out the press release at the blog of AmiWest.

Streaming

If you want to follow the events at AmiWest more closely from the comfort of your own home (or on the road), the good news is that the streams are now up and running. You’ll find one stream for audio and one for video. There’s a webcam as well if that is of interest. πŸ™‚

For information concerning the streams, please head over to the official broadcast page on the AmiWest website:

It can be found here.

Follow the instructions and you should be up and running as soon as possible. Have fun! πŸ™‚

      • Love to have it. I mean the portability of it means I can sit virtually anywhere and work on my stuff. πŸ™‚ I am guessing it will still take some time before it is available so I most likely will purchase OS4.2 (or 4.1 depending on the release) first for my A1SE.

        • Yes, it’s great to have the possibility of working on Amiga stuff wherever you are. πŸ™‚ Opens up new possibilities! Even on vacation AmigaOS is with you. πŸ™‚

Imagine how responsive the OS will be on a small netbook.. not like the some bloated OS’s out there.. πŸ˜€

I read something about the current release-date being in Q1/Q2 2012? If this is correct, then we don’t have to wait long.. πŸ˜‰

I’d do that as well. Your AmigaOne deserves 4.2.
