Hi there,

Today I’ve got some updates concerning the Viva Amiga documentary project by Zach Weddington. If you are not familiar with this upcoming film, please have a look at one of my earlier posts about it. πŸ™‚

Without further ado, here’s the news from the author’s blog:

Here’s what’s been happening!

I’ve been able to get a good amount of editing done on the story cut, but I found that working a very demanding job was sucking away all my free time. And also, all my down time was wasted at work too: I could have been doing more editing during the day, but understandably, my boss wasn’t keen on me editing my film at work.

So I did something I have been dreaming of doing forever.

I broke free and am doing my own production company full-time.

Please check it out and tell your friends. We are open for business.

I got a great client already and am already making great videos for them…all out of my home office. And I’ve got WAY more time for the film! This is the spirit of the Amiga as I always saw it. Just doing it yourself, right?

I am reenergized and excited about the film like never before! My creativity is at a peak now!

So we will be on track. I promised story edit this fall. It’ll be there in about 6 weeks. And yeah, finished film late next year.

Stay tuned everyone. Thanks again for the support.

Zach

Really looking forward to watch the documentary when its ready! πŸ™‚

  1. Reblogged this on Words From The Heretic and commented:
Some Amiga awesomeness courtesy of my friend at Old School Game Blog. Since I have seen the documentaries on Windows, Apple, and Linux I cannot wait to see the documentary on Amiga.

  2. I was always curious what you looked like! Forgive me that’s the only input I have!! But curious, you know, because you get an impression of people.

You know, I love the old games, I really do. My husband & me paid 20 cents/game in, what, 1985 here in Melbourne, & I still can’t get over FROGGER (Man, we contested each other on that) and that spiral one where you’re a spaceship in the centre that just twirls round & round but all this shit flings at you from the peripherals. Can’t recall the name of it, but, yeah – that’s old school to me. LOVE OLD SCHOOL, Game Blog πŸ™‚

    • Hi there,

      Thanks for commenting. πŸ™‚

Sorry, but it is not me on that picture, as it is Zach Weddington, the author/producer of the Viva Amiga documentary. πŸ˜‰ Hehe.. I’ll see if I can upload a picture of myself some time in the future – maybe I’ll do it with a bucket over the head, just like my friend Coder from The Bucket Diary/Diary of an Amiga Fanatic does. πŸ˜€ Maybe we’ll start a new trend?

Frogger.. now that is a cool game! The concept is simple, but the gameplay is addictive and it is great fun competing with others to get the best scores. Have you seen the Seinfeld episode where George discovers the Frogger-machine he played on as a youth?

      • Yes! I loved that episode. Seinfield is just terrific. I really miss it. They don’t play it any more 😦

        The Bucket Trend…. could be…

        • Cool that you enjoy Seinfeld as well. πŸ™‚ Too bad they don’t air it anymore where you live. I bought the DVD’s when they came out, so that I can have my Seinfeld-fix whenever I need it. πŸ˜‰
