Games I have completed: Nitro (Amiga)

Hello all,

Last evening I completed the awesome top-down racer Nitro! Woohoo!

I played the Amiga version on my MIST FPGA in the living room. Played as Cyborg Clint Eastwood, hehe.

It’s such a cool game and I highly recommend it for all retro gamers out there. I might be a bit biased, since I played this game a lot when I was a child. 😀 I will probably do a full review of Nitro some time in the future.

I took a few screenshots of it on the emulator here on the PC, but it looks much better when running on the MIST hooked up to a CRT. The game “feels” better too on the MIST, just like a real Amiga.

If you decide to give this game a go, you can download it here:

Here’s a few pics from the emulator:

  1. Ah we were talking about this the other day, weren’t we? Seemed like a pretty underrated game from Psygnosis. I loved games like this (do you remember Supercars 2?) So many great memories – thanks for this retrospective!

    • Hi and great podcast about Nitro. 🙂 Love that game! Remember playing it as a kid and still enjoy it today. Now I’m going to give it a go again I think after listening to your podcast. 😀
