A short while after I had published my last post about MPlayer, another bit of news popped up on Amigans.net. This time it was Trixie, the developer of programs such as Rave, who appeared with a Christmas present to AmigaOS 4 users.

He has released a new version of the AmigaOS 4 port of Protrekkr, a powerful multi-platform music tracker created by Franck “hitchhikr” Charlet.

As a Christmas present to all AmigaOS4 users, I have just released a new OS4 port of Protrekkr, a powerful multi-platform music tracker written by Franck ‘hitchhikr’ Charlet. With its superb features that include software synthesis, Roland TB-303 emulation and numerous effects, Protrekkr is by far the most capable tracker ever available on an Amiga platform. The release comes with almost 50 example songs (modules) to show what the program can do.

This new AmigaOS4 port is special in that it allows further configuration via tooltypes in the program icon. These additional settings allow tweaking the GUI to make Protrekker more usable in large screen resolutions.

Find the program on OS4depot.net (currently in the Uploads queue) and enjoy!

As mentioned above, the program is only downloadable through the Uploads queue on OS4Depot, but it will soon be available in the regular section.
