AROS – GLFW 3.4 and Raylib 5

Hi everyone,

Thanks for visiting the Old School Game Blog. 🙂

A lot is happening in the AROS community these days. Today, on March 6th, GLFW 3.4 and Raylib 5 were uploaded to the AROS Archives website. This is thanks to the work of Serk118 who ported these to the platform.

Raylib 5 is a simple and easy-to-use library for programming video games with a lot of features.

GLFW (Graphics Library Framework) 3.4 is a lightweight open-source utility library for use with OpenGL, OpenGL ES and Vulkan development on the desktop. It provides an API for creating windows, contexts and surfaces, receiving input and events.

Here are some screenshots from Serk118 showing Raylib 5 in action:

Here is a video from YouTube:

There is a thread on AROS World where the release is discussed:

It definitely looks interesting. It is clear that it is a powerful tool when it comes to creating games, or eye-candy for that matter. 😉 Not to mention porting open source software to AROS! I will definitely have a closer look at the possibilities!

Thanks for reading, and see you in another post here on the Old School Game Blog!
