Today I’d like to share the arrival of my new Commodore 1084S monitor with you.
As you might know, I’ve been on the lookout for such a screen for quite some time now. Thanks to a friendly Amiga user from Norway (hello Mads! ;)), I was finally able to get hold of one. It arrived at the Post Office yesterday evening and I picked it up today. Have already set it up in my “Amiga zone” and it works like a charm. π I can tell you that the picture is much better than on a TV and it will definitely be awesome for my work in Deluxe Paint. I’m looking forward to start using this monitor in the future. Big thanks must go out to Mads for trading me the monitor and for excellent packaging. π
Here’s a few pictures of the unboxing and the screen itself. Hope you’ll enjoy them!
Have a nice day everyone! π
Nothing beats the real stuff. π

That’s true. π It’s a great feeling using the 1084S with my Amiga 1200. Now games and demos looks they way they should. π

Hi Mads! It’s great that it arrived safely. You’ve done a great job with the packaging, so the postal service would have had to hire a T-101 (Terminator) to crush it. Thanks for the monitor my friend.

Hi Aliennerd! Thanks for commenting. π Like you, I also wanted one when I was younger, but it was very expensive. I used a small, black TV for many years.

I’ve got one of those Logic3 Steering wheels with the foot pedals – it was intended for Turbo Lotus but there was too much lag in response time. It was part of a project I did a few of years back – http://amigarealm.whdownload.com/SCAAP/
