Amiga: Boogietown by Ghostown & RNO

Hi guys,

Lately I’ve been pretty busy with my Amiga 1200. I’ve fiddled around with various emulators, played games and watched a few demos. πŸ™‚ The problem is that time flies by so incredibly fast when you’re having fun. πŸ˜‰

I’m going to upload a video of the ZX Spectrum emulator in action some time this week and I’m also planning on doing some footage of the Amiga browsing the World Wide Web. Stay tuned!

Today I thought I’d share a cool demo with you. The name of the production is Boogietown and it was created by two groups, Ghostown and RNO (Rave Network Overscan). It won the old-school demo competition at the Revision 2012 demo-party in Germany this Easter.

The demo was made for the Amiga 500 with Kickstart 1.3.

If you want to check it out, please click on this link to download the demo to your computer.

You can also have a look at a video of the demo below. The recording was done live at the party place. This gives the production some extra atmosphere. πŸ˜‰

This is one of the better demos I’ve seen for quite a while. Excellent work by the authors. πŸ™‚

What do you think of the demo? Did you like it?

  1. Wow! Seriously! Thank you for posting this! I just watched the demo (there was a better version on YouTube), and it blew me away! This has to be the best A500 demo I’ve seen in years! It got me so excited that I immediately wrote my coder buddy and said that we have to make a demo! πŸ™‚

    • Hi Mads,

      Thanks for commenting. πŸ™‚

Glad you enjoyed the demo. I totally agree with you – this production is awesome.

I’m still surprised it is for the Amiga 500. Some of the pictures are very colourful and could easily be mistaken for AGA.

That’s good news! It’s cool that this demo has inspired you to create something. πŸ™‚ Please keep me updated concerning this.
