Hi folks,
Today I decided to relax a bit and watch a few demos. One of those I decided to check out was Jesus Christ Motocross from Nature and Tractor. This production won the Amiga demo competition at the Breakpoint 2009 party in Germany. It is a bit different in style compared to other demos, especially the soundtrack. When you see it I’m sure you’ll understand what I mean. ๐ I enjoyed watching it, so I thought I’d share it with you. Hope you’ll like it! I have a hunch that my friend The Heretic will enjoy the music. ๐
You’ll need an Amiga 1200/4000 with at least a 68030 CPU, FPU and 16MB of Fast-RAM to run the demo, as well as a hard drive. If you don’t have an Amiga or an emulator set up, you can watch the video I’ve embedded below.
Did you like it? ๐ Hope to hear what you all think.
Reblogged this on OGR.

That was fantastic. I clearly need to get back into watching Amiga demos.

Hi there,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for commenting. ๐ Check out Pouet.net and I’m sure you’ll find something you like. Many Amiga demos have been released already this year, so there is a lot to see!
Have you been active on the Demo Scene in the past?

I wasn’t an active participant, but I was a very active observer from around 1994 ’til roughly 2001. I downloaded, watched, and archived almost every single demo on aminet up to that point.
These days I just check into the scene a couple of times a year to see if anything interesting is going on. I have an A1200 in a box that I need to dust off and hook up again. I even have an ethernet card for it, so I have no excuse not to download and watch more demos. ๐

Hope you’ll hook up your Amiga 1200. There’s nothing like watching demos on the real thing. ๐ Any favourite demos by the way?

Some of my favorite classics:
Phenomena – Enigma (oh man… the first megademo I ever saw… blew. my. mind.)
Scoopex – Mental Hangover
Cryonics/Silents – Hardwired
The Silents – Global Trash
Impact DK – In a World of ASCII (totally awesome)
Komplex, The Silents, and The Black Lotus did some really great stuff in the mid ’90’s which always blew my mind. In general my favorites have usually been 64K and 40K demos. I also like a lot of the melon dezign demos just because they’re so goofy, like Crayon Shinchan.
