I must admit I’ve not seen many, if any, demos for the SAM Coupé computer.

This one was just recently released and is called High Color. It was made by Sir David (code, graphics), Cat-Man (graphics) and Pyramex (music).

According to the authors, the production uses graphics mode 4 (256×192, 16 colors from a palette of 128). This means 24 KB video RAM (4 times more than a ZX Spectrum) with no hardware acceleration.

I found the demo very impressive and enjoyed it a lot. It is great to see demos for computers such as this. 🙂
