Iris – The MorphOS E-mail Client – Version 1.0 released!

Picture lent from https://iris-morphos.com/

Hi there, and thanks for visiting Old School Game Blog. 🙂

A brand new version of the e-mail client Iris has been released!

On the MorphZone discussion forum, the author (jacadcaps) writes as follows:

Iris is the most advanced and modern mail client among all of the clients available on MorphOS and Amiga. It’s the only client to support OAuth2 for GMail, Yahoo and Outlook. It’s the only client to support full html viewing and editing of emails, thanks to the inclusion of a stripped down WebKit. Iris is the application that has sparked off countless innovations in other parts of the OS, including adding ObjectiveC support and Unicode support into MUI.

Getting to the 1.0 version would not have been possible without the support of all of the betatesters, translators and users who either donated to the project or sent me bugreports and logs. I would also like to single out Christoph Poelzl of https://rms-communications.ch for all of his contributions and pushing me to add features to meet his business use cases. Iris would not have been what it is now without your input. Thank you!

With this release, MorphOS has now both an up-to-date web browser and an e-mail client.
