Yesterday, I wrote about the release of the new edition of MorphOS. I have not managed to install it yet due to problems with my PowerBook. When I turned on the computer, I suddenly heard weird crackling noises from it! To me, it sounded like the computer was being fried. 😦 Now it smells horrible and I don’t dare to turn on it again.

Today I hooked up the unstable Mac Mini G4 instead, but it refuses to start most of the time these days. After five-six tries, it managed to boot. Have downloaded the new version, so aim at installing it on this computer instead. More likely, I will try to source a new PowerMac instead, since both of these have done their job it seems like. I really want a new Mini, but this time I will (if possible) get the best model.

I guess I should get back on topic here. 😉

As the title says, a new update of the Death Rally port by BeWorld and BSzili for MorphOS is out. This one was released on the 14th of May 2023.

Changes are as follows:

– Last GIT and optimization by BSzili (2 bigendian fix found)
– Reduze CPU usage on menu
– build with 2.26.5 and last MOS 3.18/SDK
