Some of you might remember that I did an interview with Steffen Häuser, a.k.a. TheMagicSN, a few months ago in relation to the game he has ported for Hyperion Entertainment to AmigaOS 4, namely Heretic II.

It turns out that the boxed version of the game is now available for purchase from Alinea Computer in Germany!

The requirements are as follows:

• AmigaOS ® 4.1 or higher
• PPC (x1000/x5000, Sam, QEmu or older PPC Hardware like Peg2/Classic/A1, no support for A1222 currently)
• 64 MB minimum, more recommended
• 3D acceleration supported through Warp3D/Warp3DNova (OpenGL)
• Soundcards supported through AHI
• 4x CD ROM (only needed for game installation)
• 400 MB free harddrive space

• MiniGL(Warp3D), GL4ES (Warp3DNova) and Software Renderer

From the list of requirements, I noticed that it currently does not support the A1222+. Hopefully, support for this computer will be implemented in the future.

This boxed version has been on my wishlist for some time now, so looking forward to start playing it. I’ve never played through it before. This will be the first time. 🙂 I’m going to order right after I’ve posted this. I hope it will arrive before Easter.
