The Return of the Playstation 2

PS2logo

Hi guys,

Today I dragged home a neat little Playstation 2 console to have fun with. It has been quite a while since the last time I had one hooked up in the living room.

Some of you might remember that I traded in my PS2 for a Wii back a couple of years ago.. I still regret having done that, but now I have settled the score by acquiring a new one. πŸ˜‰

Sadly I forgot the memory card for my camera at work, so I can’t show you any pictures of the beauty tonight, but hopefully tomorrow.

Got some decent games I intend to play as well:

– Super Bust-a-Move (for multiplayer action)
– Call of Duty: Finest Hour
– Kingdom of Hearts

Last, but not least, I have gotten hold of the SEGA Classics Collection with Golden Axe, OutRun, Fantasy Zone and more! Really looking forward to have a go at that one. πŸ™‚

Will post some pictures of my setup tomorrow. πŸ™‚

Have a good night and thanks for reading!

  1. Awesome!

I still have the PS1 that I (re) bought a couple years back, along with my favorite Final Fantasy games; Anthology, VII, VIII, and IX (my favorite out of the series).

  2. Congratulations! Nice that you got another PS2.
Bust-A-Move is one of my absolute favourites, as is Golden Axe. I’ve been playing Golden Axe 2 and 3 on the Megadrive.
I bought Yakuza 1 and 2 for PS2, but I haven’t gotten around to playing them yet. πŸ™

    • Hey! We (my better half and I) play Bust-a-Move in two-player mode – it is great fun competing against each other. πŸ˜‰ Golden Axe rocks!

If you want a PS2, head over to a GameStop store where you live and you can probably get a second-hand machine with one control and cables from 249,- (NOK). If that isn’t cheap I don’t know what is. I bought mine there.

  3. Playstation 2. Not much time spent on gaming, but good memories for sure (I love God of War).
SEGA Classics Collection. Hate that one. Why? I bought it on a Target sale in the US… Yeah, US. I simply forgot about NTSC and Sony region policy crap! Still on my shelf, however PS2 is gone.

    • Hi mate,

Have tried the SEGA Classics Collection and I wasn’t impressed. πŸ™ They had attempted to remake the games, but it didn’t work out well. Golden Axe wasn’t the same and wasn’t up to par. A bit disappointed with that one.
