Hi folks,
Dan Wood (Kookytech) has done a presentation of a new Amiga, namely Amiga Racer! Looks pretty cool, so will definitely try this one out.
You can find more information about the game here: http://amigatec.com/
The game is work in progress.
Looks good, think I’ll give the beta a try. Funny thing is I used to play loads of racing games on the Amiga (I loved Jaguar XJ220 though mainly for the music as well as Formula One Grand Prix, the Lotus games, Super Cars II and of course Micro Machines), but I never play modern racing games. No interest in them for some reason!

Same here. 🙂 The only racing game I play is Mario Kart (Nintendo 64) in multiplayer-mode. Also like the old ones, the new stuff not so much. Loved Crazy Cars III – remember that one?

Don’t think I ever played Crazy Cars, will have to check it out. Yeah, I used to play a bit of Mario Kart on the GameCube when I was at uni (4-player split screen!), but that’s about it.

It’s a cool racing game with a twist. You’ll have to make a wager before each race against your opponents, including Bozo the Clown! If you win, you can buy items in the shop. During the race you could bump into the police. Lot’s of cool stuff to explore. 🙂

[…] new Amiga racing game was in the works. It was called Amiga Racer and it was a blast! I played it quite a bit on the AmigaOne and it is sad that it has disappeared. […]
