Hi folks,

My daughter and I have been spending some time doing slot car racing lately. 🙂 I was lucky to score this Mario Kart DS slot car racing set (picture above) on a market a few weeks ago. Since then we’ve built up different tracks and tried them out. It’s very fun and can be classified as old school gaming I believe.

I’ve taken a a couple of pictures with my mobile that I wanted to share with you. 🙂

Here's one of the tracks we've built. This one is not as advanced, but very fun to race, especially due to the loop you see back there. There are two lanes, so that we can do two-player mode. This is great fun. :) (photo by Old School Game Blog)

Here are the karts. My daughter loves driving the pink one with Princess, while I'm racing with Mario. It is possible to buy more cars and extensions. (photo by Old School Game Blog)

I’ll probably write a bit more about this slot car racing game in the future. Maybe record a video of it in action. Better use something else than my old mobile camera, that’s for sure. 🙂

Thanks for reading and see you soon in another post!

  1. I’ve seen the Mario ones here at a local hobby shop, along with another themed one. Haven’t played with slit cars in a very long time.
