Website: Amiga Look – Beautify your Workbench!

Screenshot of the Amiga Look website.

Hi there,

Thanks for visiting my blog. Today I’ll be writing about something different from gaming for a change. 😉

Many of us who are into the Amiga have a long history of customizing our Workbench desktops. I remember spending quite some time configuring the Workbench 3.0 configuration on my Amiga 1200 back in the 90’s and onwards. I tried everything from different MagicWB setups to NewIcons and GlowIcons, and today, I’m trying various icons and backdrops on my AmigaOS 4 setup. With an Amiga, you can personalize almost every aspect of the desktop without big problems, which is great. 🙂

Now, I’m sure many AmigaOS 4 users out there are tinkering a bit by changing their backdrops and icons, but not everyone might have heard about the website called Amiga Look. I therefore thought I’d write a bit about this website today. Hopefully some out there will find it helpful and discover this treasure of eye-candy!

Amiga Look – Beautify your Workbench can be visited here:

http://www.amiga-look.org/

As you can see from the website, the content is divided into categories:

  • Backdrops
  • Themes
  • Icons
  • GUI
  • Pointers
  • Skins
  • Screenshots

You’ll find packages for AmigaOS 4, but also for MorphOS, Classic etc. Most is for AmigaOS 4 though. You can sort the files after date, highest rated, most downloaded or make the website list at random.

Here you can see some of the top rated backdrops available for download:

Here are the most downloaded AmigaOS 4 icon sets:

As you can see from the screenshots, there are a lot to discover and download! 🙂

That was all for now. Hope you will have a look at the Amiga Look website if you haven’t yet and that you will find something to beautify your desktop. 🙂

Thanks for reading and have a good evening!
