Amiga38: A1222+ Pre-order From AAA Technology

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, the Amiga38 event took place in Mönchengladbach, Germany, last weekend.

Trevor Dickinson of A-EON Technology held a speech there, which you can watch in the video below:

Visitors at the event could test the A1222+ computer at the stand of AAA Technology. They could also sign up for a pre-order for a complete system. The price of the computer is 1599 EUR, where the motherboard makes up 1199 EUR of that sum (check out the post by TribbleSmasher over at Amiga.org where he posted a picture of part of a quote). In the complete package, you get a case, graphics card, SSD, Enhancer, and more. Users can customize the system to make it cheaper or more expensive. Amiga-news.de provides an example of a setup in their article about Amiga38, as well as more information. You can read it here. People interested in purchasing the A1222+ can contact Amedia Computer France directly for more information.

One thing I’ve not been able to find information about is what is happening with all those who signed up as early adopters. Have they been contacted and what price will they have to pay for the board? 1199 EUR is a big increase from the one they originally signed up for, which (if I remember correctly) was 400 EUR.

Anyway, it looks like the A1222+ is finally going to be delivered! It has been a long road for A-EON Technology, but finally, the new system will be available for purchase. 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog and for reading! Have a good evening!

  1. No, the Amiga 1222 Early Adopters haven’t been approached by neither A-EON not AmigaKit in any way at all. In fact, they haven’t received one single project update since they paid their deposits. Again, they haven’t been sent a single email from any of the two companies they have out their trust and money in.

    It’s really, really weak.

    • Hi, and thanks for the information. It is sad to read that the early adopters has not been contacted yet, even though they should be first in line. I wonder what the reason for this is? Hopefully they’ll be contacted soon, but I have a feeling many will pass due to the increase in price.
