Demo: Dose 2 by MFX (PC) (2001)

Hi,

Had a look at a few demos today and there is one in particular that I wanted to share with you.

It is called Dose 2 and was made by MFX back in 2001. The demo took part in the combined demo competition at the Assembly party in Finland the same year and was eventually ranked as number five.

Dose 2 is meant to be a fun and humorous production. It reminds me of old Amiga demos from groups like Budbrain (have you seen the Budbrain Mega Demo by the way? It’s great!) and Melon Design. I had a good laugh while watching it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you will too! So… here it is:

Did you enjoy it? ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. I have a VCR tape with direct video captures of many of the old Amiga demos from the mid to late 80’s. I’m sure there’s some Legion of Doom demos on there as well. I will have to have them transferred to digital. Seeing this reminded me of the active demo scene and how much fun it was.

    • Hi Vinbreau,

Many thanks for commenting and for visiting my blog. ๐Ÿ™‚

That sounds cool! Will you upload it to YouTube if you transfer it? Would be fun to see!

Demos are still being released for all kinds of exotic and more common platforms. My favorites are those made for the Amiga, but I like watching stuff made for other computers as well. It’s incredible what these coders can cram out of their hardware.

The Scene was a lot of fun. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have good memories from those days.
