Hello everyone,

Hope you are having a nice Sunday.

Yesterday, Angel in Void was so kind to send me a brand new logo that I can use in an upcoming Void production, so looking forward to view that on the Amiga. So big greets must go out to him. 🙂 Thanks!

Anyhow, I was currently browsing Aminet.net this morning for some goodies to try out on my A1200 and I noticed that a brand new Amiga game has been released! Wow! It is called Boxx 3 and was made by a guy calling himself Lemming880. It requires an Amiga 1200 and minimum 2 MB RAM.

You can download the game from here: http://aminet.net/game/jump/Boxx3.adf

I have not tried it on my real Amiga yet, but gave it a quick go here in WinUAE. Here’s a few screenshots I took:

As you can see from the pictures, Boxx 3 is a cute platformer. It plays very well with nice controls, smooth scrolling and so forth. Well worth playing! I will investigate it more when I’ve got it running on the 1200.

It’s great to see people making games for the Amiga, so many thanks to Lemming880 for making this platformer! Keep up the good work!

Now I will return to Aminet to dig up some treasures from its vast archives. 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog and hope you’ll come back for some retro gaming news in the future. 🙂

    • I love making stuff on the Amiga. Always feel more creative when using that computer. It’s strange, but as soon as I turn on the Amiga I feel the urge to make something. 🙂 Right now I’m working on a demo for Revision 2017 and it’s great fun. Do you feel the same when using old computers?

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever been inspired to make something, though back in the day I did try my hand at programming (and gave up very quickly!) and used to like drawing and making crappy animations in DPaint. But now when I play on the Amiga (via WinUAE of course), I always feel that it never quite reached it’s full potential and I do get rather nostalgic.

    • Watched the great films (Amiga Story) by Nostalgia Nerd recently. Seen those? Very good films. 🙂 As you mentioned, many feel the Amiga never reached its full potential. Without many strange management decisions, things could have been very different.

  2. Hello, have a question on your Lumberjack port. Seems it requires a CD32 controller? You press left on pad to move left, and yellow button on right to move right. Problem is many don’t have a CD32 controller so game is unplayable. Is this normal? Is the Reloaded version the same way? I paid for it and have not received the ADF yet…

    • Hi Tim and thanks for the comment. I’ve had nothing to do with the port myself, so I’m afraid I can’t help you. Head over to their website and send them a question, I’m sure they’ll help you out. 🙂 Cheers!
